I'm sitting here going over photos from this past month and wondering how is it nearly May? April was full of work and travel; fast-paced projects bookended by two trips out of state.  One of the trips took me to Washington DC, where I was extremely lucky to be part of a behind the scenes tour of the Agreeable Tyrant exhibit, led by non other than curator Alden O'Brien. Going for the...Gold?

Something happened last week. Something astonishing, and a bit unbelievable.  I won both the Foundations Revealed and Your Wardrobe Unlock'd competitions in the Experienced category.  This was entirely unexpected. I don't mean that in some humble-brag kind of way. I mean I was completely unprepared and shocked when Cathy Hay made the Foundations Revealed winners' announcement over Facebook live. I may have shouted some undignified things, and spent the rest of the day in a daze going "I can't BELIEVE..." And then there was quite a bit of sangria. Last week over "Christmas Break," when I probably should have been digitizing patterns or catching up on bookkeeping (or taking a...break?), I decided to make myself a gown.
