Underbust Edwardian Corset -- Custom Sized Made to Order
For those who do not fit into our standard sizing. NEW updated version in underbust styling with cotton sateen fashion fabric. Underbusts were much more common in the period. These 1910's era mid-bust corsets feature center front busk, steel boning throughout, English cotton coutil strength layer, white cotton sateen fashion fabric, and center back lacing with two piece nickel grommets.
These corsets smooth the torso and hips. This era was all about creating a smooth, long, columnar silhouette. The bottom edge extends to the low hip, but the boning stops several inches higher, allowing the wearer to sit. This style would have been worn with a "bust bodice," an early type of bra (although a modern bra can work--don't worry, we won't tell!).
All Redthreaded corsets are handmade by us in our Colorado studio. Please see our other listings for custom sizing, corsetry for other historical periods, avant garde corsets, and other costume pieces.
