Our Theresa stays are based on the styles of the oft-overlooked turn of the 18th century, and are designed to be worn under Mantuas and similar styles of late 17th century/early 18th century dress. Theresa creates an elongated conical shape with wide décolletage and a rigid center front. The elongated tabs are a unique feature of this era. Appropriate for 1690-1720.

Made to your measurements. mockup is included with all Atelier orders for a fully bespoke experience.

Due to the varying availability of materials, some minor details may change such as exact lace/trims etc. We can customize most details, colors, materials, etc.

Details:
  • Green linen fashion fabric
  • Cotton coutil and twill strength/lining layers
  • Fully boned in 4mm Synthetic Whalebone with extra thick synthetic whalebone at lacing edges
  • Hidden wooden busk pocket at center front
  • Straight-cut natural linen binding
  • Hand bound eyelets
  • Contrast stitching in heavy thread
  • Machine sewn
Atelier pricing includes all details as photographed as well as mockup. Please contact us for custom colors, fabrics, or other design changes. Let us make you something amazing.
