Custom Order Update

We know folks have been wondering when custom order deposits listings will reopen. Due to overwhelming interest, we no longer maintain waitlists, instead opening a limited number of deposit slots a few times a year.

The current round of custom orders has taken us longer than expected. Because we are now coming into the holiday season (and a busy early 2024--read on!) we do not anticipate being able to reopen website custom ordering until late spring of 2024.

We will also be re-thinking some of our custom policies to help avoid significant response delays and more efficiently complete our work.

Workshop & Trunk Show at Burnley & Trowbridge

Redthreaded will be holding a winter market at Burnley & Trowbridge in Williamsburg, VA on February 24th and 25th, 2024. This will be a timed-entry (free) ticketed event to control traffic flow. We will do fittings and take orders for custom and standard sizing. Stay tuned for an official event announcement as we finalize details with B&T.

Cynthia will be holding an 1830s stays workshop with Burnley & Trowbridge the following weekend. Please look to B&T for the upcoming official registration announcement.

Costume-Con 42

Redthreaded is pleased to be on the vendor list for Costume-Con 42 March 29-April 1 in Aurora, CO. We will have our full range of patterns and kits available, conduct fittings for custom and standard size corsets and stays, and have some special items as well.
