Going for the...Gold?

Something happened last week. Something astonishing, and a bit unbelievable. 

I won both the Foundations Revealed and Your Wardrobe Unlock'd competitions in the Experienced category. 

This was entirely unexpected. I don't mean that in some humble-brag kind of way. I mean I was completely unprepared and shocked when Cathy Hay made the Foundations Revealed winners' announcement over Facebook live. I may have shouted some undignified things, and spent the rest of the day in a daze going "I can't BELIEVE..." And then there was quite a bit of sangria.

I am grateful and a little intimidated to join the ranks with the previous years' winners. I want to acknowledge the amazing work of the other entrants, and congratulate the other winners and runners-up. I also want to thank everyone who voted for my entries, since the winners are chosen by site subscriber votes.

m proud to share my Foundations Revealed corsetry win with my sister, the model for the project. She was absolutely integral and there's no way my entry would have placed without her collaboration. She organized photographer, location, and even did her own hair and makeup. Coincidentally, her birthday is this week. I dedicate this win to her.
