Georgian Stays Pattern -- Printable PDF
These printable patterns are based on historical extant corsets, but the draft is our own, adapted to fit a modern woman of average proportion. This stays pattern is a good starting point for 18th Century, Colonial, American Revolutionary War, Rococo, and Georgian period costumes. This style features cut in one boned tabs, adjustable side seams, and is designed for steel boning. An instruction booklet is included with photographic how-to instructions. We also include a supply resources sheet with US and UK based corsetry supplier recommendations and general research sources.
This pattern is recommended for those with moderate-advanced historical sewing skills. Corsets are not beginner projects.
We suggest printing the first 6 pages (instructions and supply list) first, looking them over, and then printing the pattern. Patterns print on approx. 10 pages depending on size, and will need to be taped together once printed.
Be sure to select the appropriate size, and contact us if you have any questions, You can also order custom pattern drafts elsewhere on the site if you are outside the standard range.
European Union and Colorado residents will be charged VAT and Sales Tax respectively.
