The Lydia Corset is our version of this famous corset in the collection at the V&A. This crinoline-era corset nips in the waist, is fairly short over the hips, and has a cupped, natural bust height placement. Rows and rows of synthetic whalebone, flossed right through in contrast thread, completes the historical look of this corset. After a few wearings, the synthetic whalebone will shape to the wearer, creating a softer hourglass shape.

This style is appropriate for the 1850s until the bodice hem lines drop over the hips in the mid 1870s.

Made to your measurements. mockup is included with all Atelier orders for a fully bespoke experience.

Due to the varying availability of materials, some minor details may change such as exact lace/trims etc. We can customize most details, colors, materials, etc.
